east coast buy and sell Looking for Importer at Halifax, Nova Scotia Full Time

The candidate would:
* Be bilingual (fluent in both English and French).
* Have the ability to purchase and conduct the importation of cigars from Cuba, Nicaragua and/or the Dominican Republic.
* Have experience in both scheduling, and maintaining tight deadlines.
* Have the ability to cope with high stress, volume purchasing and sales.
* Have experience dealing in customer service and hospitality.
* Candidate MUST have a University degree in business OR marketing.
* Candidate MUST be a cigar sommelier (an expert in cigar tasting and related advice)
* Public relations experience would be an asset.
* Knowledge of and experience with high end watches and jewelry would be an asset.
* Possessing the ability to speak Spanish would be an asset.
*Required work experience: 3 or more years.

Day to day functions consist of the follow, but are not limited to:
*Oversee preparation of sales contracts.
*Engage in sourcing wholesalers and foreign companies for imported goods.
*Identify and solicit potential local retailers.
*Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions.
*Advertise and promote products.
* Provide customer service.
*Public relations and media relations.
*Complete and process international purchase orders.
*Adapt and manage any unforeseen challenges and bureaucracies.

Job Type: Full Time
Salary: Approximately $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:
Position provides 40 hours per week, and shifts will include –
* 10 hour shifts
* 8 hour shifts
* Day shifts
* Evening shifts
* Morning shifts

* Would be on call
* Weekend availability is a must
