Located in the heart of East Vancouver, EdwardsX specializes in designing and manufacturing custom apparel and uniforms for some of North America’s leading corporations and creative agencies since 1997. You MUST live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Lower Mainland, as this position requires you to be able to work onsite in our Vancouver office on a routine basis.
Job Summary:
The Division Vice President is responsible for taking a key leadership position within the Vancouver team to ensure EdwardsX is the ongoing leader for inspirational and mindful custom clothing. As the key customer facing position for the Vancouver team representing the organization’s custom clothing design and manufacturing capabilities, the Division Vice President works closely with the President to energize the team and customer base while maintaining overarching responsibility for achieving top line and bottom-line revenue goals. This position is ideal for someone with a background in apparel and is seeking to make a direct impact on a growing business through a people focused leadership style and by partnering with clients and increasing sales.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development and Oversight (65%)
Manage and ensure effective customer service for all orders and products.
Manage the financial stability and growth of the organization to achieve and exceed budgeted goals.
Build upon and nurture relationships with key existing and other high potential clients.
Leadership (20%)
Provide leadership for the entire division.
Positively engage all employees to live the EdwardsX culture and values.
Purposefully develop the succession plan for the selection and growth of the future leaders in the organization
Influence buy-in and collaborative decision making on broad organizational decisions
Directly manage the Customer Support and Project Management teams and provide professional development opportunities for department managers, including their work to train all associates in their department by setting and communicating clear delegation expectations
Strategy (15%)
Strategically determine high level and functional expectations for the organization, clearly communicate expectations, and oversee the delivery of services.
Provide strategic input into the development of new products and the marketing, and sales of all products.
Own the strategic direction of the organization to ensure continued success.
Innovatively drive to develop strategies to stay ahead of industry and market trends
To be successful in this role, you need to have the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or other related field is required.
5+ years of executive management and or business development experience leading to successful business continuity and growth
Experience in apparel or soft goods
Ability to cultivate professional relationships through written and verbal communication
Financial acumen including, margin analysis and department-level budgeting
Problem solving and implementation
Manage multiple tasks and priorities
Teambuilding, collaboration, effective delegation, training and mentoring
Performance management and coaching
Appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences

Must be a Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident and live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Lower Mainland
