Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and analyzing the operations of Human Resources for EG Industries Canada.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee all the Human Resources operations and processes.
- Strategically plan for the organization’s human capital needs, in concert with other managers
- Manage benefits administration
- WSIB compliance and return to work processes
- Using and maintaining the HRIS systems (Plex and Paycom)
- Payroll (ADP)
- Participate in the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures; provide interpretation as necessary; make suggestions and recommendations on any revisions
- Maintain positive working relationships with employees and the management team
- Administer occupational health and safety training for new hires
- Advise and assist departmental managers on the interpretation and administration of policies, programs, and best practices
- Identify job vacancies and implement plan for filling them
- Recruit and select new hires based on their knowledge, skills and abilities in partnership with hiring managers
- Prepare offer packages for new all new hires
- Inform employees about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion
- Advise managers on organizational matters such as discrimination, discipline, harassment, etc.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering policies striving to resolve work-related issues
- Conduct training needs analyses of the entire workforce to determine appropriate and necessary training and development programs
- Compile statistical reports and metrics concerning personnel-related data such as turnover and absenteeism rates
- Analyze statistical reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement
- Conduct exit interviews
- Assist in the investigation and reporting of accidents/incidents
- Manages the Health and Safety Program (policies and training)
- Remain current with best practices, legislative changes, and industry standards
- Encourage and engage in social activities and charitable work with employees
- Other duties may be assigned as required
Education and Job Requirements
- CHRP designation required
- Post-Secondary diploma in Human Resources Management
- Two or more years Human Resources experience
- Strong ethical behavior and professional maturity
- In-depth knowledge of current legislations relating to employment standards to the capacity of providing counsel including but not exclusive of: Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workers’ Compensation Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, etc.
- Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team
- Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Organized, and detail oriented

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
