We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive impact in a diverse and dynamic organization as our Platform Architect. While in this role you will provide technical leadership in a groundbreaking role that is accountable for architecture, design, and build of the Microsoft Azure Cloud subscription for Enbridge. This role resides in the TIS Enterprise Architecture Team and also provides architecture consulting on using Microsoft Azure technologies to managers and technical specialists across the Enbridge enterprise. What You Will Do

• Delivery of Cloud Strategy aligned with ENB’s business objectives and with a focus on Cloud Migrations.
• Design of ENB’s Cloud environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure (currently) and AWS (future) and demonstrate Technical Cloud Architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA and development Cloud Infrastructures.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for cloud end-to-end architecture, including Azure & AWS providers, networking, provisioning, management, and implementation features (multi-tenancy, virtualization, automation, orchestration, elastic scalability).
• Develop architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.
• Provide technical leadership in workload migration methodologies and techniques including application movements into the cloud within large, regulated enterprise environments.
• Provide consistent and effective advice to solution delivery teams on selecting the fit-for-purpose Microsoft Azure technology that best addresses the business need
• Develop a library of cloud design patterns as a basis for deploying services to the cloud.
• Nurture Cloud computing expertise internally to drive Cloud Adoption.
• Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
• Foster a collaborative, supportive Microsoft Azure community through a variety of engagement channels
• Ensure alignment of development practices with corporate policies, standards, and industry best practices

Who You Are

You have:

• A related post-secondary degree or technical diploma in Computer Sciences
• A deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
• 2+ years focused & practical experience in Microsoft Azure cloud services and migration. Office 365 architecture and deployment experience is beneficial.

You Can

• Demonstrate a solid understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, security, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs.
• Provide 10+ years’ experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect.
• Show an understanding and can articulate the technical merits and business value of Cloud computing.

You Are

• Someone who demonstrates leadership skills to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.
• Someone with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and new development concepts (microservices, containerization, serverless computing, etc).
• Person who has strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with team members, partners, and stakeholders.

• Position may require occasional work-related travel, based on accountabilities.

Physical Requirements Include But Are Not Limited To

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
