We are currently seeking a Senior Associate, Energy Mix, Energy Transition Research to join our Intelligence team. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector.
Performance Objectives
We are currently seeking a highly driven individual to join our Energy Transition Research team. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of financial analysts, engineers, geologists, data scientists and developers to publish investment research. Examples of the research you could undertake include maintaining a coverage list of equities in the Energy Transition space, operational and financial benchmarking of energy transition technologies and companies, and assessments of mergers and acquisitions. Collectively, you will work to both enhance our technology platform and leverage it to interact directly with clients and help answer some of the hardest questions facing industry and investors today. The ideal candidate can provide independent execution while supporting team initiatives, including client calls and in-person roadshows.
Monitor policy, regulatory, and legislative issues that impact the energy evolution.
Determine the market impacts of energy fundamentals, commodity prices, current and proposed environmental regulations, renewable energy, and emerging technologies.
Transform findings into actionable insights for Enverus clients through written research and presentations.
Aggregate and analyze large data sets to identify trends, characterize opportunities, value assets and companies, and generate opinions on market activity.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop workflows that enhance platform solutions.
Update, maintain and improve proprietary databases critical for formulating opinions on assets including economic assumptions, operational velocity metrics, and financial data.
Contribute to specialized financial and forecasting models using securities filings, investor documents, transcripts, press releases, internal global scouting, and other sources.
Participate in conference calls and in-person meetings with clients and prospects.
Opportunity to travel across North America for in-person client meetings.

Must possess excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to develop a deep understanding of the technologies and companies driving the energy transition and to become the leading expert in this field
Has a can-do attitude along with a deep sense of curiosity.
Required Work Experience and Education
0 – 3 years of relevant industry experience
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer or Actuarial Science, or a related field
Understand the fundamentals and/or economic analysis of equity research
Obtained or pursuing a professional designation (CFA, MBA, P.Eng., P.Geo).
Highly computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analytic tools.
Excellent presentation skills.
