Our client located in the heart of SE Calgary, is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team! This is an Albertan company proud of their history and growth in the province and they offer a dynamic, supportive and team-oriented work environment!
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience working within Accounts Payable in a full-cycle AP role
- Post-secondary education in related field
- Excellent communication skills allow you to liaise with external contacts, suppliers and internal divisions
- Solid proficiency with SAP or other accounting software, along with MS Office Suite specifically MS Excel
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be well-regarded, ideally in a regulated industry
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and act decisively
- A calm and thoughtful attitude will ensure you can meet deadlines in an ever-changing environment
- Must be self-directed and able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Responsibilities:
- Entering, coding, matching of invoices
- Completion of all credit applications
- Reconcile invoices, and assist with month end responsibilities as required
- Follow-up with vendor queries, supporting and maintaining positive vendor relationships
- Assist with IFRS testing and gap resolution
- Assist with bi-monthly cheque runs, EFT and bank deposits
- Process monthly expense reports
- Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
