FTE: 0.5-1.0 FTE, negotiable
Salary Range: $59,000 to $72,000 annual salary; commensurate with qualifications and related experience

Opportunity:
The Health and Wellness Consultant position is our frontline expert in supporting the community stakeholders and wellness of First Nations, Métis and Inuit students in Alberta school communities. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with First Nations and Métis communities in Treaty 7 Territory and coordinating projects that support the health and learning outcomes of children and youth. This position reports to the Assistant Director, plays a key role in listening, understanding, and advancing projects focussed on health and wellbeing. Implementation of community development projects, contributes to the collective work of the organization, and collaborates with a broad base of partners.
This individual must be willing and able to travel frequently throughout Alberta and motivated to work in a fast-paced, exciting and fun environment. The location of this position is Calgary South (remote work conditions will be considered), requiring consistent connections to EAS offices in Edmonton and Calgary, building supportive in-person relationships with remote and rural First Nations and Métis communities in southern and central Alberta, and continuous collaboration with multiple team members and communities.
This position requires innovative leadership, strong interpersonal skills, experience working in a school setting, knowledge of physical literacy and an understanding of wellness-related work (health promotion).
