Evolution Wheel Looking for Full Cycle Accountant at Winnipeg, MB Full Time

Evolution Wheel is looking for an individual to join our team who can fill the role of a Full Cycle Accountant. This person will work with the company’s owner and managers to ensure the company’s finances are properly maintained and planned for on an ongoing basis. Being someone who has a strong attention to detail and is a self-starter able to take on and manage projects would be an ideal candidate for this position.

Job Activities

Financial Duties

– Managing and overseeing financial and administrative staff

– Conducting full cycle accounting tasks

– Processing payroll

– Managing A/R and A/P

– Filing monthly and quarterly government remittances

– Tracking and monitoring expenses related to research and development

– Ensuring that the companies KPI metric tracking documents are kept up to date

– Developing financial reports including budgets, cash flow projections and income statements

– Working with vendors to setup accounts and manage purchasing relationships

– Manage overseas vendor relationships and coordinate purchasing of raw materials

– Researching and applying for government funding programs

Human Resources Duties

– Managing staffing recruitment to meet the companies labor needs

– Onboarding new hires and ensuring they are setup to be successful within the company

– Keeping track of key employment milestones related to each employee’s employment contract

– Handling and administering employee discipline cases and managing employee records

– Developing and implementing office policies and procedures

– Working with Manitoba Employment Standards and Workplace Health and Safety to ensure company compliance

– Reviewing employee benefit program options and administering the program

Requirements

– CPA designation or equivalent

– 3+ years of progressive accounting experience or controller experience

– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

– Ability to multi-task

– Outstanding attention to detail

– Exceptional data entry/keying skills

– Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks online

– Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
