Evolving Web Looking for HR Director at Montréal, QC Full Time

Do you want to work at a growing digital agency that has grown 4x in the last two years, values professional growth and the contribution of its staff, and is looking to nurture best practices in HR? As Evolving Web’s HR Director, you’ll have responsibility for growing our team in a sustainable and strategic way.

This position would suit someone with manager-level HR experience in a technology or design-oriented company and with a proven track record of success in recruitment and employee success. You’ll work directly with the leadership team to ensure that HR functions are running smoothly and reflect the needs of Evolving Web and our staff. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, a team leader, and will take ownership of new and existing initiatives.

In your role as HR Director, you will be expected to:

• Oversee the three person HR & recruitment team
• Work directly with the two co-founders and senior leadership
• Ensure the success of all initiatives related to recruitment, performance reviews, retention, and career growth of our staff and contractors
• Help drive decisions regarding benefits programs, professional development, and employee happiness
• Collaborate with the operations, finance, and marketing teams
• Work closely with the leadership team to understand the staffing needs of the company in the present and future and report on HR metrics
• Propose and help implement new HR initiatives and programs
• Anticipate and resolve risks to employee happiness and retention
• Assist with immigration processes
• Guide our rapidly growing agency into maturing it processes and best practices, and build a culture of ownership and leadership within the organization

Requirements

What kind of skill set do you need to be successful in your role within the Evolving community?

• 10+ years of experience and a proven track record of success in HR or related function at a manager or director level, ideally in a similar industry (technology or creative)
• Thorough knowledge of HR management principles and best practices
• Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
• Ability to coach team members and improve best practices in a pragmatic way
• Experience leading and developing successful HR teams
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Bonus for:
