Experis Looking for Social Media Coordinator at Markham, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Duration: 6 month contract

PURPOSE

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Social Media, the Social Media Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the content creation process and engaging with our digital communities, responding to comments and messages, and building positive relationships with followers and customers. In this role, you will engage and nurture a community across multiple social channels through relevant content and meaningful interactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the social media team to develop, manage, and post engaging content that is aligned with our clients brand guidelines, tone, and objectives.
• Lead day-to-day copywriting for all organic posts on our social channels. Manage French translations for all copy that needs to be published to ensure adherence to Bill 96.
• Assist with planning, shooting, and editing mobile photography and videography for routine content, as well as during internal and external events covered for social media.
• Collaborate with different business areas to support their initiatives through creative storytelling and help create positive brand awareness around our corporate objectives.
• Leverage analytical skills to track content performance and create reports to inform future decisions and strategy.
• Actively engage with customers on social media by responding to their comments and messages in a timely and professional manner. Escalate inquiries and complaints to relevant stakeholders to facilitate optimal customer outcomes within stipulated SLAs.
• Act as the first point of contact for handling and addressing potential threats or issues on social media. Work in tandem with the External Communications team by escalating critical matters and collaborating on appropriate responses.
• Monitor and track sentiment and feedback from customers and audiences, providing valuable insights to inform community engagement strategies and help drive content decisions.
• Implement engagement initiatives and community-building activities to attract new followers and increase engagement.

EXPERIENCE:

• University or Post Graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or other related discipline.
• 3 years of social media or communications experience in a corporate or agency environment.
• An understanding of the insurance or financial industry and ability to develop content for its relevant audiences.
• Proven expertise in content creation for social media from planning to execution. Superior copywriting skills and experience in designing simple imagery and short form video content a must have.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, and experience working with all prominent social channels like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, and YouTube.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset with the ability to cultivate engaged communities as well as monitor and respond to customer queries and complaints in a timely manner.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with strong organizational skills, and the capability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong people management and relationship-building skills and experience dealing with people at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of Hootsuite, Canva and other editing apps an asset.
