The opportunity
As a Senior Tax Staff or Manager, Tax you will be a part of our International Tax Services (ITS) practice which provides a wide range of tax services for many of the world’s largest multinational companies. You will be able to help these corporations identify and solve complex domestic and international tax issues and assist them in successfully aligning all of the different areas of taxation into a benefit-driven strategy.
Your key responsibilities
Senior Tax Staff and Manager, Tax participate in and help supervise multiple and challenging tax engagements to deliver innovative tax planning ideas and solutions for our diverse clients.
Skills and capabilities needed for success include
To qualify for the role you must have
Either:
An accounting designation;
a law degree (JD or LLB with tax courses or LLM Tax); or
other related experience or certification relevant to an area of specialization i.e. MTax qualification, completion of a CPA designation, the CPA In-Depth Tax Course
An undergraduate degree in a related field and
Managers – a minimum of 5 years of Canadian Corporate tax experience or a minimum of 2 years Canadian International Tax Experience
Senior Tax Staff – a minimum of 3 years of Canadian Corporate tax experience or a minimum of 1 year of Canadian International Tax Experience
Excellent analytical abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
Strong project management and organizational skills
The ability to work with tight deadlines
A process-oriented nature with excellent documentation skills

Location
Vancouver is the primary location. We also offer a flexible/hybrid EY office / work-from-home working model and fully remote work options.
