What you will be doing:
Support the Director, Talent & Culture in strategically managing the Talent & Culture operation in areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits management, workers compensation, and daily administrative tasks
Collaborate with Department Leaders and Senior Managers to strategize employee learning & internal professional development
Influence and support an environment that allows for ongoing feedback and coaching
Support Department Leaders and Senior Managers with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified from Colleague feedback
Work closely with our Manager, Learning & Development to assess, develop, coordinate, conduct and track company and brand-specific orientation programs and training programs
Lead and coach the team of department leaders on performance management matters
Identify high potentials at all levels in making sure they are being developed, in support of succession planning
Ensure compliance with Fairmont policy and legislation in all aspects of the human resources function
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
Minimum 2 years experience in a senior HR role required
Experience running talent development programs in a highly operational environment
Collaborative style, pragmatic and willing to work in close partnership with operational colleagues
Confident presenter and skilled facilitator
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible and reliable
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Additional Information
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
