Catering Sales Manager
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for selling activities to support the Hotels strategic business objectives. With the main focus on local social events and small meetings, this candidate will also administer and manage the successful planning, coordination, and communication of all conference activities while maximizing revenues and guest satisfaction by working with all departments to ensure the highest level of service.

What you will be doing:
Actively seeks new business and catering events through prospecting and booking business to meet and exceed budgeted revenues.
Manage the full wallet capture of catering revenue per group room occupied by segment.
Upsell hotel services and products suggesting menus, and other revenue opportunities (i.e. Audio Visual, rental, high-speed internet) to maximize return for guest and hotel.
Work closely with clients to coordinate program content, ensuring each department within the hotel is thoroughly knowledgeable about the client’s requirements and expectations, throughout the duration of the event.
Deliver on promises through a proactive approach, ensuring attention to detail for every event.
Constantly seeks out creative ways to improve service, overall F & B revenues, and profitability.
Actively involved in the development of cutting-edge menus, wine lists, service delivery, and standards for Catering and Banquets.
Work effectively with Banquets and Accounting to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
Ensure adherence to all Fairmont core standards for Catering and Banquets.
Maintain a close and effective working relationship with all operational departments.
Challenge the status quo and is a leader in innovation and creativity.
Active member of the Sales & Catering team, attending weekly Catering meetings and monthly Sales meetings.
Able to maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate evening and weekend appointments and site inspections. As well as, be present at the start of social events to ensure services are well managed.
Demonstrate Fairmont Service Promise Standards and Fairmont Values in all interactions with both colleagues and guests.
Adhere to all colleague health and safety responsibilities.
Adhere to the hotel’s environmental policies and procedures.
Your experience and skills include:
Experience in Hotel Catering Management or Sales Management
Experience in Food & Beverage with broad operational knowledge
Demonstrate confidence to achieve results in the negotiation process
Demonstrated record of being highly organized, competitive, results-oriented, and able to work in a total team environment
A business thinker who is able to work under pressure, and balance multiple priorities with high level of initiative
Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline an asset
Strong culinary and wine knowledge an asset
Computer literacy (Opera, Microsoft Office)
