Summary
Reporting directly to the Site Maintenance Leader, the Maintenance Planner & Scheduler will be part of the team responsible for planning, scheduling and parts acquisition for the Maintenance Department. This role is a key team member in developing, managing and controlling all aspects of planning and scheduling.
Primary Responsibilities
Planning:
Determining the required parts on each work order in the backlog; verifying parts are available and ordering parts as necessary
Coordinating with procurement to generate material purchase orders and agreed delivery dates
Determining the need for special support equipment and orders/schedules as necessary
Determining and controlling the work order planned start date and “Approved” status
Forecasting and maintaining fleet and component hours by implementing Best Planning Practices
Planning and coordinating equipment commissions/decommissions
Review completed PMs and update agreed changes to parts list and tasks
Review Condition Based Monitoring task lists and update agreed changes
Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment through compliance with Wonderbrands Health & Safety Program
Backlog management, including weekly and monthly backlog reviews, purging aged work orders as required
Conversion of the output of maintenance program development to structured work templates
Scoping jobs as necessary to include: All necessary job steps, required tooling, drawings and diagrams, parts, manpower, and safety elements to be addressed
Maintaining and updating work order/event templates
Tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Scheduling:
Verifying resource requirements and availability before scheduling planned work and determine work orders with appropriate status
Generating and reviewing the 14-day schedule with Maintenance leaders to refine details surrounding current conditions and Operation to incorporate operational concerns and limitations. Modify schedules if required
Releasing all work orders daily for dissemination to the maintenance leads and trades, ensuring all identified resources are assigned to open work orders
Maintaining, coordinating and expediting the flow of materials and components for all scheduled work
Interacting daily with Maintenance Leader to ensure schedules are adhered to and modified as necessary
Review of completed work orders for recording of required data, planned vs. actual; hours, tools, materials, and safety requirements to identify any required changes or improvements
Tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
About You:
Post-secondary education with Engineering degree or a related technical diploma
Bright, driven and clear about your future career goals
Ability to learn fast, ambitious and come up with new innovative ideas
Positive attitude and a results-oriented mindset
Be a proven team player and work well in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment
Roll up your sleeves mentality with a whatever it takes mindset to get the job done
Naturally curious and strong desire to learn and grow
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office functions particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
Demonstrated strengths in organizational, planning and resourcing skills
Excellent communication with follow-up skills are required. The ability to meet deadlines is essential
Familiarity with the maintenance processes and system software is an asset
SAP software user an asset
Candidates applying must be a recent graduate
