Senior Software Engineer – Fully Remote Position but must live in Ontario.
LightPoint is a Financial Technology firm offering fully integrated and scalable trading and portfolio accounting platform to global hedge funds, fiduciaries and fund administrators. We provide applications that support front, middle and back-office workflows.
We are seeking a full stack developer for our rapidly growing financial service company, servicing the hedge fund space. Applicant Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Full Stack Engineer and have working knowledge of C#, Angular, .Net Core.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Daily interaction with team discussing projects, timelines, status and issues.
Participate in daily stand ups with product owners to develop solutions.
Managing the end-to-end life cycle for production and software application deliverables, taking ownership of the solution.
Overseeing and guiding the analyzing, writing, building and deployment of software.
Work with team to review code and provide feedback on all aspects of the delivery lifecycle.
Overseeing the automated testing and providing feedback to management during the development process.
Ability to work with a small team and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changing environments.
Education and Experience
BS Degree in Computer Science or another relevant field
3+ years in Financial Technology, Financial Services, or a related fintech field
Experience working in agile teams and using agile processes.
Detail oriented individual.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
