About us:
Freddie’s (www.gofreddie.com) mission is an ambitious one: halving the spread of new HIV infections. HIV is on the rise, and over 50% of new HIV cases are in the LGBTQ2S+ community. Freddie has built a direct-to-consumer telemedicine offering to enable this community to access PrEP, an HIV prevention medication that reduces the risk of acquiring HIV by 99%. We launched in July 2020 and have quickly grown to become the largest HIV prevention service in Canada. And we’re just getting started.
Using our learnings from Freddie, we recently launched Frida (www.talkwithfrida.com), a direct-to-consumer telemedicine provider that provides mental healthcare, starting with ADHD. People are in need of mental health services. In any given year, 1 in 5 Canadians experiences a mental illness. And by the time Canadians reach the age of 40, 1 in 2 have-or have had-a mental illness. Frida will provide a streamlined way to access ADHD care, without the yearlong waits commonly experienced in the traditional Canadian healthcare system.
About the Role:
We are looking for a VP, People to join our rapidly growing team. We have hired 20+ people since the beginning of 2022 and we are looking at doubling our headcount this year
Reporting to the COO and as a member of the senior management team, the VP, People is responsible for ensuring the people strategy and practices align with the organization’s mission, values, and direction to support organizational growth and scale.
We have a preference for people based in Calgary (where we have an office) but are also open to remote candidates in Canada.
