We are looking for a talented, passionate accounting/finance professional to provide accounting, financial and analytical support that focuses on monthly financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and year end activities. Reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Leads, you will provide support and collaborate closely with various accounting teams as well as other internal teams. This is a full time in office role at our corporate office located in the heart of King West, with breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline.

As Financial Analyst you will:

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial results.
• Prepare cash flow analysis and projections.
• Participate in technology enhancement projects and new technology implementation.
• Identify opportunities for improved reporting, analytics and accounting processes.
• Assist with year-end activities including preparation of supporting documentation and analysis.
• Act as secondary support for general accounting activities such as review and approval of journal entries, accounts payable and banking transactions.
• Assist with preparation of periodic/year end financial statements and relevant notes.
• Liaise with project accounting teams.
• Possess an understanding of consolidated financial statements.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
• May perform other duties as assigned within the nature and level of the role.

Our Ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

• 5 years progressive experience, in accounting/budgeting/analysis and reporting in the Real Estate Development industry.
• Completion of a degree in Accounting/Finance or Commerce.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and analysis
• Advanced excel proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills with the ability to make practical recommendations.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Effective project management/organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities to achieve results.
• Experience/proficiency with financial software and ability to learn and teach new software.
