Freson Market Ltd/Freson Bros. Looking for Business Analyst – In-Person at Stony Plain, AB Full Time

Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team based in the Operations Office in Stony Plain, Alberta.

The Role & Responsibilities:

• Create and execute test plans for new and existing IT systems
• Track and monitor testing progress
• Quality Assurance
• Document and classify errors
• Follow through with issue resolution
• Create, maintain, and update accurate project documentation
• Gather requirements from end users
• Create and collaborate on project schedules, proposals and charters
• End-user documentation must be simple, effective and complete
• Create and implement training to end users
• Maintain training documentation
• Provide training and support, in-person and remotely, to end users
• Participate in the evaluation, recommendation and selection of department and corporate IT systems and software
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, finance and IT to report on system effectiveness
• Drive and challenge business units in their usage of IT systems, ensuring high-quality, effective, and efficient usage
• Reports to the IT Director

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable conducting training sessions for 10-20 individuals
• The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to understand various corporate IT systems and how they impact an organization
• Advanced Office 365 and Google Suite skills
• Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and Power BI
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
• A degree, diploma or certificate in the following disciplines is an asset: computer science, engineering, data analytics, business or a related discipline
• 3 years of business analytics experience, within the retail or food industries is an asset

Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.
