Job Description
- The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills and a strong knowledge of Insurance Brokerage operations.
- This candidate must be an outstanding leader, have the ability to coach and mentor, and the patience and understanding that comes along with Customer Service and building relationships with insurance companies, BDM’s and vendors.
- This role has an immediate focus on leading the day-to-day operations of the customer service teams, underwriting, back-office & IT support, as well as contributing to key projects that impact the daily company operations.
- The role is expected to handle escalated or sensitive customer service issues and will identify and implement process and procedure improvements that will improve daily functions while supporting direct reports and staff as a whole.
- The successful candidate should be able to develop strategic plans for areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of people management experience in the Insurance industry with a focus on Operations.
- Must have a RIBO license in good standing
- Effective performance management skills i.e. training, coaching and development for direct reports
- Strong track record of process, training, service operation improvements
- Strong influencing/leadership skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Strong troubleshooting and probing skills
- Power Broker an asset
