As Logistics Team Leader you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and coaching teams of logistics professionals to ensure client’s logistic needs are met; planning, coordinating and negotiation freight movement utilizing Fuel Transport supply chain network for our office located in Mississauga.

Job Summary:
Lead, coach and support logistics teams (Cells).
Manage, plan and coordinate logistic movements with existing customers.
Communicate with clients and carriers daily to negotiate rates and plan movements.
Negotiate pricing for 3PL services.
Manage and develop new suppliers in transportation.
Provide Daily Management support for its teams (Cells) (Start up meeting, workload readjustment and Cells performance),
Conduct team meetings and huddles on a regular basis.
Conduct activities:
Help teams during peaks
Spot quote bids
Qualify carriers
Approve loss of revenue on a load
Margin review
Monitor and audit the work of your resources.
Lead the Continuous improvement cycle by gathering opportunity ideas from you teams and participating in Continuous improvement meetings.
Provide first level of troubleshooting support: fast-pace decision-making in resolving freight movement issues.
Oversee the continuous training plan of your resources.
Follow-up that services purchased are rendered.
Leverage equipment tracking data to process real-time information for clients.
Work in tandem with the internal team members to ensure client satisfaction.
Contribute to and ensure year-over-year growth of Company gross profit margin.

Education & Qualifications
Bachelor or collegial with at least 5-7 years of experience in a similar position or high school level with at least 10 years of logistics experience.
Advance knowledge of the logistics rates, seasonal trends and diverse industries.
Excellent verbal, reading comprehension and writing skills.
Good Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and comfortable learning new IT systems.
Accessible to clients and suppliers outside of standard office hours.
Able to work under pressure in a just in time manner. (24/7 type work environment)
