Job Summary: The Logistics Leadwill take ownership of our product’s journey, from sourcing materials to ensuring it meets the customer’s demands. They will work extensively with the leadership team to create value, mitigate risk, and deliver a competitive advantage for our manufacturing and food business. With a primary focus on sourcing goods and materials to optimize market conditions and demand planning.
GeneralAccountabilities
· Work with management team to develop company’s short and long-term goals, and plans/executes logistics strategy to enable the company to achieve those goals
· Extraction of issues from voice of clients, find issues on site and warehouse and identification of the root cause
· Negotiate prices with service providers for warehouse operations and deliveries while managing vendors to building up a win-win relationship
· Maintaining Best in Class service to our clients
· Drive continuous improvement within the Supply Chain function
· Collaborate effectively with a team of cross-functional leadership challenged to manage the profitability of regional business
· Coach and develop team members and lead initiatives
Key Accountability – Manage Ocean Freight Business (40%)
· Manage about 2,000 container loads per year plus about 1,000 North American transportation
· Optimize and stabilize global logistics situation by working with freight forwarder to deliver products/raw materials on time
· Develop, establish and nurture relationships with shipping companies (i.e. Maersk)
· Develop strong SOPs – specific clients or for overall business
· Risk analysis and mitigation
· Evaluate the transit time and service quality for each lane from each production country, collecting congestion information to flexibly change shipping methods to achieve shortest lead time
· Visualize shipping progress and make necessary changes for the business plan by collaborating with other departments
Key Accountability – Analyze and Minimize Shipping Costs (40%)
· Working with Finance Lead, create and manage budgets, play a critical role in P&L reviews and strategic planning/forecasting
· Manage total supply chain cost for region, striving to achieve lowest delivered cost of goods
· Maintain and improve Logistics metrics (KPIs)
· Develop a reporting structure for logistics
· Determine strategic initiatives to improve cost
· Focus on effective and cost-efficient means for production planning and inventory control
· Properly manage day to day budget forecasts
Key Accountability – Provide agile support to the Asset Manager /Leadership team (20%)
· Manage a team offour logistics staff
· Willing/able to jump into different projects to provide support and leadership
· Lead/conduct in-depth analyses of existing business, prepare recommendations and implement solutions
· Provide solutions to daily operations issues and maintain contingency plans for time sensitive operations (unscheduled absences, production issues, systems malfunctions, inventory exceptions, transport equipment issues)
· Eliminate any demurrage and detention charges for container delivery

Desired Skills and Experiences
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, economics, business, or similar field
· Holding a CITT certification is preferrable
· 8+ years of working experience with logisticoperations while having a management perspective at retail companies and 3PL companies
· Strong knowledge in Ocean/Air and over the road transport
· 5+ years of experience with retail logistics, e-commerce logistics, warehousing and distribution
· Strong business and financial acumen and solid supply chain background
· Experience managing multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
· Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, written and verbalcommunication skills
· Experienced with ERP systems
· Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite
