Job Description Summary
You will provide leadership for GE Vernova in developing a competitive advantage for growth, reducing financial liabilities and managing reputational risk by identifying and executing on opportunities for generating government offset credits. You will be working with multiple functions across all divisions within the GE Vernova business globally to generate offset credits that could be leveraged by GE Vernova Conversion to fulfil existing or pending offset obligations or improve the quality of bids in military procurements. You will also identify opportunities where offset credits could be sold to third parties for incremental revenue generation. This role will involve working closely with sourcing, manufacturing, product development, finance and other internal functional teams. You will also engage a diverse group of external parties such as government agencies, industry associations and industrial companies as you build a strong network of suppliers and government partners.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the identification of transactions that generate offset credits (both direct and indirect) for the fulfillment of GE Vernova obligations or for sale to third parties
Working closely with various functional teams, that can include engineering, legal, risk, finance, contracting, legal, sourcing, manufacturing, etc., within the diverse portfolio of GE Vernova businesses, setting up a rhythm and process to methodically identify and quantify the various transactions that could be potentially eligible for offset credits
Develop offset proposals to support international sales campaigns,
Work with government offset agencies for the submission and approval of offset credit claims,
Build a tracker for accumulating both direct and indirect offset credits and provide a dashboard view of the offsets available for senior leadership
Track the status of the fulfillment of offset obligations,
Work closely with Sales teams to provide guidance on contract terms and conditions that meet the obligation of the applicable Offset regulations,
Maintain an awareness of GE Vernova activities in defined regions to identify potential Offset transactions prior to any obligation, and
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Business, Engineering or Sciences, Project Management
5-7 years of in sales, contract negotiations, sourcing, business development, or project management.
able to travel up to 30% of the time

able to interface with customers and customize business relationships according to customer needs and requirements,
deal making experience (e.g., sourcing, sales, business development or financing),
able to effectively communicate with peers as well as senior executives from inside or outside of GE Vernova,
able to prioritize and manage several deals and projects simultaneously,
self-motivated with demonstrated record of achieving challenging goals,
team player capable of working with multiple functions (e.g., sourcing, sales, product development) and with people from every level of management level, including corporate executive and senior government officials,
outstanding oral and written communication skills and influencing skills, and
Offset and/or countertrade experience
