Job Function Overview

The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for executing data entry and related duties in disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, and various businesses.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Financial Expectations

• Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
• Balance day-to-day accounts payable batches; prepare and distribute payment reports.
• Perform general administrative duties for the Finance Department, such as: file management, data entry, records maintenance, etc.
• Perform 3 way matching , pull out back up s and other information for payment processing.
• Review bills to the organization for possible mistakes and/or discrepancies; analyze and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions
• Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records concerning the organization and its industry partners.
• Perform other duties, as required.

Job Requirements

• 1 to 5 years plus experience in an accounts payable position is highly encouraged. Open to candidates with strong accounting skills and experience handling expenses.
• Significant knowledge of payment rules and regulations and can perform account reconciliations.
• High level of professionalism with the ability to handle and manage confidential information on a day-to-day basis.
• Excellent communication: written and verbal skills.
• Detailed Orientated.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience in Epicor is an added advantage.
