Our client is a top Canadian development, design, construction, and management firm. We are looking for a CPA with a good foundation in accounting to join their team. Suitable candidates will have some experience in public practice as they have 100s of projects and will be working on multiple companies.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements and year-end working papers
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly operating statements for banking requirements
- Preparation of some bank reconciliations
- Accounting for sales transactions during closings
- Accounting for revenue transactions from our US office/operations from RealPage
- Reconciliation and analyze general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers to assist in the preparation of required reconciliations and reports
- Assist with requests from auditors during audits/reviews
- Assist with other accounting projects as required
Qualifications:
- CPA designation
- Minimum of 2 years of public practice experience
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Work independently and within a team setting
- Roll up your sleeves, hands-on, attitude with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
