The Alberta Wildfire Coordination Centre (AWCC), located in Edmonton, works with the ten Fire Centres in the Province to coordinate suppression and pre-suppression efforts. The AWCC is open 7-days a week during the peak fire season to support the forest areas and has a team of seasonal and full-time staff that support wildfire operations across the province.

If so, a position in the Alberta Wildfire Coordination Centre may be an ideal seasonal position for you.
The AWCC Logistics works closely with the Provincial Duty Officer to process provincial, national, and international requests for manpower and equipment. In addition, they work with the ten (10) Forest Areas to coordinate provincial and national response to resource requests, provide information for decision-making, coordinate logistical needs, and support area logistics coordinators.
Other Roles & Responsibilities:
Additionally, the AWCC Logistics may have an opportunity to participate in AWCC Support duties as required.

$23.86 to $29.15 per hour
This competition is for seasonal wages positions that work a rotational shift with daily hours of work of 7.25 hours and approximately up to 36.25 hours per week. Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required. These positions have various start dates in April and various end dates between August and October 2023. Those selected for an interview are requested to bring three work-related references.
