The opportunity…
The Director of Fiscal Policy is responsible for leading the tax, fiscal relations, and non-tax revenue areas in a coordinated, collaborative fiscal framework approach ensuring all aspects of Yukon government’s revenue sources contribute directly and effectively to the realization of the department’s and the government’s priorities.
This position leads a team of professional senior personnel for developing and implementing the government’s policies on taxation, major intergovernmental financial arrangements, and non-tax revenues premised on sound economic theory; using micro-economic theory to design the policies and analyzing the macro-economic implications for the territory’s economic performance and the government’s financial position.
