Greenhouse is seeking an energetic, results oriented new graduate to join our team as a financial analyst. This is a unique cross-functional opportunity to gain both CPG and start-up experience at a rapidly growing company.
Our ideal candidate has a roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic, works well in a team environment and is curious to learn about all aspects of the business. Previous experience or studies in business or accounting is not a requirement! We just want curious people who are willing to get stuck in. Enjoying math and problem solving helps for this role – the finance team loves their numbers.
This individual will be helping to process day to day transactions of the Finance function while working cross-functionally to help build systems and processes.
Responsibilities include:
Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Works as a liaison between Finance, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Logistics, and Procurement teams to maintain systems and collaborate on team projects.
Desired Skills + Experience:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree (business degrees not required!)
Strong analytical capabilities
Excellent communication skills
Good problem solving skills
Previous accounting experience not needed!
