Greybrook is a Toronto-based asset management firm that invests in high-quality development-based and value-add opportunities. Greybrook allows individual investors to partner on an equity-basis with leading real estate developers to jointly acquire properties situated in growing urban and suburban markets that meet our investment criteria for new development or asset repositioning. Greybrook targets average annualized returns in excess of 20% on development-based opportunities and 12% to 18% on value-add developments.
Overview of Position
The Associate, Private Capital Markets is a licensed Dealing Representative. The Sales Associate, Private Capital Markets is a business development and client management role with a primary purpose to proactively grow and retain business from a select group of investors.
The Sales Associate is primarily responsible for client service by managing existing relationships, building new relationships through strategic initiatives, and ensuring the investment process is handled with care and professionalism. The Dealing Representative is expected to be knowledgeable about Greybrook product offerings, the investor subscription process, the EMD compliance regulations and requirements, and must have the ability to effectively assess investor suitability. The Sales Associate, Private Capital Markets must exhibit a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current investors with a focus on client service
Develop and implement strategies to increase the investor network, and scope of service for existing and potential investors
Have overview discussions with new and prospective investors to explain investment process, structuring, returns, risk and other relevant factors
Maintain a deep understanding and technical knowledge of offerings in order to provide the best solutions for Investors
Exhibit an understanding of portfolio theory
Clearly communicate Greybrook offerings and assist investors in understanding all subscription documentation, funding requirements, and post-close activities
Maintain up to date investor files and information on the appropriate systems and CRM software
Assist in various marketing efforts such as creating investor presentations, webinars, and educational materials
Ensure a high level of client service by:
Responding to investor requests, inquiries, and concerns promptly and efficiently
Providing sound and appropriate advice to meet the investor’s objectives
Adhering to all firm and regulatory policies by remaining up to date with all regulatory rules and activities as it relates to transactions and ensuring that investor interactions are accurately documented
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years financial services or real estate investment sales experience, in a client facing capacity with a proven track record in developing and growing a profitable client services business.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Salesforce is an asset, but not mandatory
