Working Hours:
Your regular schedule will involve 16 – 32 hours per week, based on operational requirements. Primarily, you will be working in the evenings during the week, with some night shifts and the possibility of twelve-hour shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule preferences whenever possible.
Responsibilities:
As a Child and Youth Support Worker, your responsibilities will involve Goal Planning, Service Plan implementation, and the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, including Critical Incident Reports. You will be supported in these tasks by the Team Lead.
Requirements
Contingent Requirements:
You must possess a valid drivers license and have your own vehicle. Additionally, you should provide a clean Drivers Abstract and hold Auto Insurance coverage for $2 Million (CAD). This is necessary as part of your duties may involve driving the children to various community activities and events. Gas mileage for official trips will be reimbursed at a rate of 40 cents per km upon submission of proper documentation, including:
Criminal record check with vulnerable sector check (dated within the last 6 months)
Child welfare check (dated within the last 6 months)
First Aid & CPR (Level C) certification
Medication Administration certification
Please ensure to complete the following certifications within the specified timeframes:
Non-violent Crisis Intervention (dated within the last 6 months).
Suicide Prevention Training (dated within the last 6 months).
Aboriginal Awareness training (dated within the last 9 months).
Food Safety Training (dated within the last 3 months)
Cultural Diversity (dated within the last 9 months)
FoIP Training
Car Seat Training
Mental Health First Aid certification (dated within the last 6 months).
Positive outcome of your reference checks.
