GS Manufacturing Looking for Operations Clerk / Logistics Clerk at Mississauga, ON Full Time

We are urgently hiring an Operations Coordinator for our Mississauga location.

Operations Coordinator (may also be known as a Logistics Coordinator)

Shift: 8:30am-5:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Pay: $22 per hour starting

Job Description

An operations coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, as well as scheduling pickup and delivery appointments. Responding immediately to customer questions and complaints and notifying them of any delays in the pickup and delivery schedule is essential to this position.

Minimum 1-year experience is required in a similar environment such as transportation or logistics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Answer emails as well as phone calls for customer inquiries
• Be able to track and trace loads as needed
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with clients and carriers
• Data entry using AS400 and other systems
• Create and provide shipping manifests
• Communicate and provide assistance directly to drivers when required.

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented, Motivated and show initiative with ability to learn quickly
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Willingness to adapt and adjust, strong multi-task skills
• Ability to work fast-paced environment when required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to prioritise
• Strives to be a highly efficient team player with a positive personality
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
• Working knowledge of AS400 is an asset
• Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Typing speed of 45 WPM
