What You’ll Do

Gyptech is seeking a Site Manager to join our team to oversee the site installation and commissioning of large-scale industrial manufacturing projects for a worldwide customer base. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, your role will involve:

• Involvement through the complete life cycle from concept to commissioning and customer sign off
•  Resolving complex or technical issues, managing client relations and mitigating risks to ensure the project adheres to contractual, budgetary and scheduling goals
•  Preparing tender packages, including scope of work for all trades
• Tender analysis and awarding contracts related to all aspects of the project
• Coordinating contractors on site
• Conducting regular site inspections to ensure quality is being delivered, site conditions and project schedules are being maintained
• Managing change requests throughout the duration of the project
•  Monitoring and maintaining installation schedule
•  Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures and practices.
• Coordinating interface between various internal, external and client groups

This is an 18-month contract role, and will be based in Palatka, Florida.

What You Offer

•  15 years+ experience in construction, fabrication and operations environments with a bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering or demonstration of equivalent experience
•  Project Management Professional designation is an asset
•  Experience working on large-scale projects, ideally in gypsum or large-scale material handling industries, with budgets and timelines
•  A leader who develops strong client relationships and organizational skills
• Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills with an unwavering desire to tackle new challenges and uncover practical solutions to problems
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, ERP/MRP systems and MS Project.
