Hamilton Health Sciences Looking for Executive Assistant at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Full Time

The Executive Assistant will provide full administrative support to the Vice President, Community Medicine & Population Health, Interprofessional Development/Practice and Clinical Education, and portfolio as required. The incumbent must be self-directed, client-focused and have demonstrated, excellent communication and administrative skills.

• Graduate of Community College Business Office Administration program or equivalent
• Minimum 3 -5 years experience supporting senior level management preferably in a healthcare environment
• Strong administrative and organizational background, ability to prioritize, multi task, schedule and carry out tasks with strong attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills
• Demonstrated excellence in effective communication within a professional environment (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with expertise in agenda and minute taking skills
• Proficient software and computer skills in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Windows, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Meditech, PeopleSoft, Taleo, budget tool, management resource tool, E-way, electronic forms ordering
• Proficient keyboarding skills (60 wpm)
• Effective and creative problem solving and analytical skills
• Team player with strong sense of ownership and accountability; ability to work independently using own initiative, organize and establish priorities
• Demonstrated ability to develop systems that create efficient work flow
• Demonstrated commitment to the HHS vision and continuous quality improvement
• Demonstrated understanding of the corporate context and ability to make suggestions and create systems which will assist the program within this context.

The Community Medicine & Population Health , Interprofessional Development / Practice and Clinical Education Portfolio includes executive leadership and oversight for population health, seniors’ strategy, ambulatory, complex and palliative care, and contributes to system wide transformative change. The Community Medicine and Population Health, Interprofessional Practice/Development and Clinical Education Portfolio supports site leadership at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Urgent Care Center, St. St. Peter’s Hospital and the Satellite Health Facility.
