Unit Summary
The Adult Regional Care portfolio is home to the Regional Centre for Cardiac & Vascular, Neurosciences and Trauma, Critical Care, Burns and Trauma and Rehabilitation and Clinical Resources. The Hamilton General site serves as the Regional Trauma Centre, the Regional Stroke and the Regional Neurosurgical Centre for the Central South Ontario. It also hosts the Regional Rehabilitation program which provides specialty care in the areas of Spinal Cord Injury, Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke and Prosthetics/Orthotics.
The Clinical Resource Program provides a centralized model of service delivery and coordination in the areas of Staffing and Scheduling, and Clinical Resource Management. The Clinical Resource Program is accountable for the delivery of roles, resources and structures required to achieve clinical efficiencies across Hamilton Health Sciences.
