The Logistics Coordinator will be part of the operational team working at a limestone quarry in northern Alberta. The successful candidate will interact with the operations & sales team, the customers, and the contract carriers to ensure safe and efficient delivery of products in the vast area of the Fort McMurray Oil sands region.
Responsibilities
- Receiving/coordinating orders from customers and scheduling deliveries accordingly
- Planning/forecasting deliveries with sales team, operations and carriers
- Overseeing ticketing & reporting processes
- Providing direction and training (driver orientations) for people new to the quarry
- Working with carriers and internal sales team to provide competitive pricing and ensure accurate invoicing
- Working with carriers/customers in the event of an incident, including assistance with incident investigation & documentation
- Scaling trucks and interact with carrier truck drivers/supervisors
- Maintaining ticketing & reporting processes
- Booking flights, airport transportation and camp accommodation
Education / Experience
- High school diploma required, post-secondary preferred
- CSTS & First Aid an asset
- 5 years experience in a Logistics / Planning & Scheduling position required
- Customer service experience is a must

Schedule / Accommodations
- Fly-in / Fly-out
- 11.5 hour shift
- 17 days on/13 off
- Camp accommodations and transportation provided
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $27.00-$28.00 per hour
