Happipad – Front-end Developer (Junior to Intermediate)

Do you want to join a startup with a genuine purpose? Happipad is challenging the status quo and tackling Canada’s housing crisis. Every night across Canada, 12 million bedrooms sit empty. We are on a mission to make these spare bedrooms available as affordable and comfortable rental options for people needing a place to call home, whether for a few months or several years.

This is available as a temporary position with option to join our team permanent, full-time.

Looking for: Someone passionate about building beautiful software and websites that will be used around the world. You must be a team player, creative, and desire to push the bar higher.

Why we need help

We are expanding and need help developing new interfaces for our Web App and websites. This work will be used to help serve our refugee housing and student housing solutions in Canada.

Skills and experience:

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Front-end web development experience (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, MVVM frameworks, i.e. Angular, Vue, or React)
• Understanding of back-end development principles
• Familiarity with Git version control system
• Relational database design (MYSQL)
• CSS and layout frameworks
• Experience in developing web applications
• Passionate about elegant code and efficient dev processes
• Superb troubleshooting and debugging skills

Working conditions:

This is available as a full-remote or hybrid position from our Kelowna or Toronto office. Development hours will be normal business hours (Eastern Time) with flexible working schedules.

Salary: $50,323.66-$80,000.00 per year
