Herbaland is Canada’s largest nutritional gummy manufacturer exporting more than 70 million bottles a year to over 40 countries.

We are currently seeking a to join our growing team at Herbaland Headquarter, located in Richmond, BC.

Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, maintaining employee information accurately in HRIS, managing extended benefits plan, issuing ROE, Talent management, employee benefits, training and development, create a positive working environment, and diverse and inclusive company cultural, participate in Health and Safety meetings as a member of the JOSHC. Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to ensure efficient and smooth day-to-day HR operations.

Job Duties:

• Full-cycle recruiting (from job posting to hiring, including onboarding new employees).
• Improve and maintain HRIS (BambooHR).
• New employee orientation.
• Solving employee conflicts, managing employee relations and disciplinary policy.
• Implement and improve HR policies, programs and procedures.
• Manage employee benefits and extended health benefit.
• Organizing company events with the Administrative Assistant.
• Improve employee relation and company cultural
• Conducts Site Visits to Support Front Line Staff and Managers as required
• Performance Management
• Investigations
• Progressive Corrective Discipline
• Conducts Site Visits to Support Front Line Staff and Managers as required
• Drafts and prepares semi annual company newsletters

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 year experience in HR department
• Post secondary degree in HR.
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong communication, public speaking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.) and Bamboo HR. Minimum 50wpm keyboarding skills,
• Strong knowledge of Employment Law
• Ability to work independently, as well as being a strong team player

Work Conditions:

• Travel may be required.
• Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
• Overtime may be required.
