Home Comforts Childcare is a Family Age Grouping facility caring for children ages 0 – 5 years of age. We strive to provide a home like setting using nature and our community as our learning environment.

Qualifications

Early Childhood Education Diploma

Registered member with the College of Early Childhood Educators

Valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level “C”

Negative Criminal reference check/Vulnerable Sector Check/ CAS

Knowledge of “How Does Learning Happen?” and the ELECT document

Good oral communication skills

Responsibilities

Constant supervision of children between the ages of 0 – 5 years

Adherence to all of the duties and regulations under the CCEYA

Adherence to all professional responsibilities and conduct under the college of ECE

Uses full understanding of child development to guide children in their learning and self regulation skills

To participate as part of a team, collaborating with coworkers to provide the best care

Establishes and maintains regular communication with parents

Observe, document and reflect on a daily basis to provide the best learning environment for the children

Knowledge and ability to implement the ELECT document and the four foundations of How Does Learning Happen through observations, documentation and curriculum planning.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 – 40 per week

Salary: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
