As our Outside Rental Representative/Manager, you’ll proactively reach out to customers and prospects in your assigned territory/accounts to keep them informed of our product offering and solicit rental business.
You’ll support our customers by coordinating rentals and act as liaison between customers and our organization.
Specifically, you will:
- Cold call and pursue new rental accounts; understand the customer’s business and needs. Collect credit applications and assist with setting up new accounts.
- Field rental calls and follow up leads; assist with rental bookings by providing necessary information to the inside rental coordinator to prepare rental contracts. Assist in following up on paperwork as necessary.
- Collect market information on rental rates to assist in setting our rates at a competitive level.
- Routinely check in with customers during their rentals and address any customer needs, issues, or complaints professionally and quickly
- Assist in coordinating necessary routine maintenance during rentals.
Travel as necessary to client sites and attend industry events.
- Assist in developing marketing materials to distribute.

This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 7:00-5:00pm. We’re conveniently located near the major highways in Etobicoke, but this is primarily an “on the-road” hybrid position that allows for flexibility so long as customer needs are met. Cellphone and laptop are provided for business use.
The compensation for this sales role is a combination of base salary and commission the combined total of which is anticipated to range from $85,000 to $125,000 annually depending on your performance. You’ll also receive a car allowance and full benefits including (health, dental, life insurance, and a group RRSP).
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in a similar role, ideally in a dealership environment, in heavy equipment rentals and/or otherwise working with equipment rentals.
- 3+ year sales experience, proven ability to communicate proactively with customers to provide exceptional service.
- Comfortable using computers including programs such as Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) & CRM.
- Experience working in a self-directed environment.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma or certification in relevant area is an asset.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
