About The Role
We’re looking for a strong Commercial Lines Account Executive to play a critical role in driving new business opportunities and revenue growth for our commercial insurance division. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial insurance products, market trends, and effective sales strategies. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in engagement marketing to develop and nurture strong client relationships while providing tailored insurance solutions.
What You’ll Do
Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the small to mid-market business segment, utilizing engagement marketing best practices to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyses of clients’ businesses to determine appropriate coverage levels and recommend risk management strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams, including account managers, underwriters, and marketing professionals, to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions and exceptional customer service.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, using this information to inform sales strategies and provide valuable insights to clients.
Participate in marketing initiatives, including content creation, social media engagement, and industry events, to promote the company’s brand and drive new business opportunities.
Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics while adhering to the highest ethical standards and company policies.
Continuously enhance personal knowledge and expertise in commercial insurance products, sales techniques, and engagement marketing strategies through ongoing professional development and training.
What You’ll Need for Success
Valid RIBO license, or willingness to obtain in short order required
3+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales or a related role, with a focus on small to mid-market business
Proven track record of sales success and strong client relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade a diverse range of clients
Strong aptitude to learn new risks along with a desire to keep up to date with emerging trends
Results-oriented and passionate, with a strong sense of accountability and client management skills
Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills
A Solid team player who also possesses independence of thought
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (formulas and pivot tables), PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance broker management systems
Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, events, and industry conferences
