Position Title: Student Support Advisor
Status: Regular Part-Time
Hours: 24 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Social and Community Services
Campus: Lakeshore Campus
Salary: EPEW Band 9: $35.04 – $40.60
What You Will Do
Reporting to the FSCS Operations Manager, Student Engagement, the Student Support Advisor is responsible for providing a comprehensive array of student support services within FSCS. The FSCS Student Support Advisor will work with students to understand their individual needs and recommend best course of action that is supportive of student success and will enable students to meet graduation requirements. In addition, the incumbent will guide students on academic regulations, assist with registration challenges, monitor student progress and serve as a resource for information. Participation in College and Faculty wide student support initiatives, recruitment events on and off campus and meetings with other Advisors and Program Coordinators on a regular basis is also required. This role will primarily work out of the Lakeshore campus, however occasional travel offsite and between Humber’s North campus will be required. The Student Support Advisor will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends.
