JOB DESCRIPTION:
Huot & Huot is an optometrist clinic located in downtown Montréal for more than 30 years. Our clinic offers visual and eye health services from visual exams to contect lenses, including a wide variety of glasses since we work closely with the LensCrafters.
We hope to add another assistant to our team and are looking for an energetic, motivated and organised person to fill that role, We offer a permanent, full time job.
TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
As an optometrist assistant, you will be responsible of assisting the oprometrist by completing the different tasks necessary to the preparation of the eye exams and the ajustment and sale of contact lenses.
Your tasks will be:
Properly greet all of our clients with politeness and professionalism in person or on the phone.
Schedule eye exams for the optometrists;
Open and prepare the file for the patient’s visit;
Prepare the equipment for the exams;
Complete the pre-tests with the patient, providing the optometrists with the necessary information for the exam;
Enter and update the patient’s information in our informatic system (Optosys);
Order contact lenses and contact clients regarding their order;
Keep the workspace orgqanized and clean;
Find, sort and update the physical files;
Complete other admnistrative tasks, if needed;
NECESSARY QUALITIES AND APTITUDES:
Good dexterity and abilities : you will need to manipulate contact lenses;
Sense of responsability and discretion: you will have access to confidential information, and must respect professional secrecy;
Enjoying and easily interracting with people: you will frequently have to interact with the patients;
Team player: you will have to assist the optometrist efficiently;
Empathetic and good listener (calm, patience and discretion);
Be organized to schedule the treatments, the appointments and keep the files clean
Disponibilities: 4-5 days a week/permanent
Salary: 17.00$ – 20.00$, Full time, permanent
