Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources, the Senior Manager, Talent Development will play a key role in the development and execution of our global Talent strategy, ensuring the alignment of talent programs with business performance outcomes, organizational culture objectives, and employee engagement.

This is a multi-dimensional role and you’ll be part of a small team where you’ll get to roll up your sleeves – to manage, create, test and roll out talent initiatives both locally and globally. It will be an ideal assignment for someone who enjoys the consultative and strategic nature of program design and build, but also has the discipline and focus required to manage the details involved in successful program execution, and lead the achievement of daily operational objectives.

Role Details

• Design, build, implement and evolve future-oriented and inclusive talent programs including performance management, succession planning, organization development and learning, with the purpose of building critical skills and leadership capability at all levels.
• Ensure effective utilization of global programs, processes, tools and resources and leverage technology to streamline and enhance the value of our programs.
• Support executive performance and succession planning programs as well as Board deliverables related to talent.
• Partner with global talent leads to ensure central talent strategies and programs meet local needs, and provide subject matter expertise to support local program development.

• Identify, design, present and evaluate learning and development needs in support of critical business needs, issues and strategic business objectives.
• Partner with EDI lead to ensure that principles of equity, diversity and inclusion are integrated into all talent programs.
• Develop and track program metrics to monitor engagement and success, as well as identify opportunities for program improvement.

What You Need to Succeed

• 15+ years’ experience in Human Resources with focus on talent program development and execution, and business partner support
• University degree with concentration on business administration or human resources management
• Business acumen with ability to link talent activities to the broader organizational objectives
• Ability to think critically and objectively evaluate options/alternatives
• Strong project management capabilities with experience building and managing global talent programs
• Proven ability to successfully influence and lead change
• Strong adaptability and resourcefulness, capable of drawing creative and forward-thinking solutions
• Demonstration of high level of personal integrity, accountability and ethics
• Ability to establish trust and credibility; forge strong value-added relationship within HR and across the business
• Team-oriented working within a collaborative environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas simply
• Working knowledge of HR technologies/systems to ensure that programs are correctly configured within our systems. Experience with Oracle HCM and Sharepoint is an asset.
