Job Description

Here’s how we work:

Arcadis IBI Group’s Vancouver office is searching for a Senior Contract Administrator to join its growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with our Institutional group, primarily leading the Construction Administration phase of many of our exciting and challenging projects.

Most of the things you’ll work on:

• Coordination of municipal reviews and approvals, building permit applications, and Quality Assurance o, construction drawing and specifications
• Construction administration of institutional projects
• Coordination of a project team and sub-consultants
• Prepare and review project schedules
• Coordinate review and responses to all construction phase submittals such as shop drawings, RFI’s and change orders
• Review and process applications for Certificates of Payment
• Conduct field reviews, attend construction site meetings and represent Arcadis IBI and our client on the job site to quickly resolve questions and outstanding issues.

Qualifications

You’ll need to have:

• Minimum of 15+ years of related experience as contract administrator, with a focus on institutional and healthcare work
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and/or a recognized Institution by the AIBC
• Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
• Canadian experience is a must
• Experience in British Columbia is preferred
• In-depth understanding of
• Codes and standards such as the BCBC and VBBL
• Construction practices and techniques
• Building Envelope and construction details
• Delivery methods, their contacts and the responsibilities defined within such as CCDC2 and DBA
• Ability to manage a team of staff to complete assignments on-time and on-budget
• Ability to work on time-sensitive tasks and manage multiple assignments
• Demonstrated background of experience in managing the Construction Administration phase of large-scale ($10M – $100M) complex and phased projects (both new builds and renovations)
