Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to join one of our larger public sector clients located in Vancouver, BC. This is a permanent, full-time role that would require you to be on-site 1x/week. As the Sr. Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire implementation of Microsoft 365 across the organization. You will lead the M365 initiatives, which include developing, expanding, or upgrading enterprise and business applications, solutions, and services with Microsoft 365. You will also manage the M365 team, which will consist of 8-12 people, and work closely with the project managers who will be doing the hands-on work to run the specific projects. One of your main initial priorities will be to plan and execute the migration of the organizations mailbox from on-premises to Microsoft Exchange Online, which is a foundational piece work that needs to be done before rolling out the newer features of Microsoft 365. You will also be responsible for road mapping and strategizing what features to roll out first and what comes later, based on the business needs, project constraints, and data governance standards. You will face the challenge of communicating the value and importance of the foundational work to the stakeholders which means you will need to use your storytelling skills to explain why the foundational work is essential for the success of the M365 implementation and how it will benefit the organization in the long run.
Skills and Requirements
10-12 years of experience, most recently in a Product Manager capacity
Must have public sector experience in Canada
Experience overseeing the implementation of Microsoft 365 across a large enterprise environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, features, and best practices
Ability to lead teams through strong communication and trust
Excellent people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, such as senior leaders, business users, IT staff, and vendors
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within tight deadlines – Higher education experience”’
