The Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) will be a core senior member of the Executive Management Team and will be responsible for leading the company’s day-to-day operations as well as supporting and driving the strategic growth initiatives of the company. The successful candidate will be accountable for directing and managing the team to ensure cross functional collaboration and a collective drive towards exceeding the key performance indicators and strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will bring proven senior leadership, business development and business management experience and will be comfortable working in an autonomous and accountable environment within a growth-oriented company.
The successful candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to be mentored and coached by the CEO with the intention to develop as his successor.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of company operations to ensure all team members are working towards the established growth targets and strategic initiatives and be ultimately accountable for the team’s performance in achieving those goals.
- Lead and create new business development initiatives by regularly reaching out and engaging with potential new customers, promoting the company’s software products, providing information and demonstrations, issuing quotes for services and responding to new RFPs.
- Guide the development of new software products and improvements to existing software products by directing the team of technical staff and incorporating customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Several years of progressive experience as a senior employee of a small to mid-sized, growth oriented organization, as a management consultant, or with similar background and experience required to accomplish the mandate.
- Experience with project management, leading and managing diverse project teams.
- Experience developing and leading business development initiatives.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
