We are currently recruiting for a Administrative Coordinator based at our Metrotown Office in Burnaby, BC. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for the reconciliation of export permits, payment of export duty and reconciliation for all shipments to the US. The successful candidates will also assist the Director of Taxation and sales group in various accounting and administrative tasks related to internal and external reporting compliance and reconciliations.
What You’ll Do
Weekly export permit reconciliations for shipments to the US.
Weekly duty reconciliations and payment, which includes reporting to treasury on upcoming payments.
Monthly shipment correction filings for US entries.
Monitoring Finance emails for customs and other inquiries.
Contact for customs broker and assist as required.
Review and follow up on freight liability aging reports.
Coordinate collection of customer resale certificates.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Daily and monthly reporting as assigned.
Other projects as requested.
What You Offer
2-3 years of administrative experience.
Previous bookkeeping experience would be an asset.
Experience in lumber industry considered an asset.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel skills.
Experience with Lumber Track, CrossCut, Oracle, or Dynamics AX is an asset.
Positive and proactive attitude with a drive to succeed and deliver results.
High attention to detail.
Effective organization and follow through skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to assist in meeting departmental deadlines.
