Job Description:

Reports to the Manager Activity Services CR/NI, Therapy Coordinator, or designate, working under the general direction of on-site rehabilitation/recreation therapists, and the activity supervisor. Performs rehabilitation assistant duties and carries out individual and group interventions and activities that enhance, maintain, or stimulate functional abilities of residents. Maintains records and performs related duties by utilizing a personal computer, word processing software tools, and related equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12, completion of Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to teach.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to deal effectively with others.
Ability to operate related equipment.
