he Human Resources and Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting our Health & Safety program, recruitment and selection for several divisions in the Company, facilitating orientation, accurate HRIS data entry, tracking and review for Health & Safety and other projects, maintaining employee records and data management, and will be involved in various Human Resources projects. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience and exposure to a variety of Human Resource functions while working as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Health and Safety Supervisor in incident, accident and hazard reporting as well as claims management
- Recruitment and selection – including job postings, application review, updating applicant tracking system, plan and conduct telephone screenings, interviewing, preparing letters, reference checks, conducting orientation and completing an onboarding follow up
- Prepare correspondence: offer letters, memos, and other documents in a timely manner
- Accurate and timely inputting into HRIS system and data entry log updating
- Review, track, log and file Health and Safety reports, inspections and other H&S projects
- Maintenance and updating of electronic and traditional personnel files
- Participate in Social Committee planning & events
- Be available to staff; respond to requests and inquiries
- Other HR and administrative duties and projects as assigned Requirements:
- Minimum three years working in a related role
- Education in a related field, CHRP (or working towards) is an asset
- Health and Safety experience preferred, JHSC Certification an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset
- Familiar with Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, OHSA, WSIB, knowledge of HR trends and practices
- Proficient with MS office software (Word, Excel)
- Experience with SAGE ABRA HRMS and Acquire ATS an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize and shift priorities quickly
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to maintain sensitivity to confidential matters
