Duties/Responsibilities: We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing and dynamic Finance team. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. You will also oversee all accounting procedures while advising on general finance matters.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your main responsibilities are but not limited to: • Process accounts payable ensuring proper coding and timely payments • Analyzing expenses and provide feedback on budget vs actuals • Prepare month end journal entries and assistant senior accountants with month end closes • Assisting with the year-end audit process including preparation of working paper and analysis • Manage lease schedules and owner operated properties • AR invoicing and collecting • Manage credit card and employee expense reports • Accounting liaison for all Quebec related matters • Perform other duties as assigned Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed: • 2+ years related experience, preferably in retail accounting • Must be bilingual (English and French) • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience with Netsuite and retail accounting is preferred • Detail oriented and ability to meet strict deadlines • Completion or enrolled in bachelor’s degree/diploma in Finance or Accounting or CPA designation • Experience or knowledge in the retail industry (apparel and footwear) is considered an asset What we offer: Competitive Salary Comprehensive Extended Health Benefits Professional growth opportunities Employee Discounts And many more
