JENSEN HUGHES has a new job opportunity for a Lead Consultant/Senior Fire Protection Engineer in our Toronto, ON office. We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, security and mass notification on commercial, institutional and industrial projects for clients worldwide. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience that includes a combination of Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and Fire Protection System Design. Candidates should be a registered Professional Engineer with proven project management and fire protection engineering experience. Responsibilities will include the management and implementation of a wide variety of engineering design and consulting projects
Responsibilities
Plan and direct engineering activities for your own projects. Conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses. Design fire protection systems including fire alarm, sprinkler and special hazard systems. Prepare and present technical reports and presentations. Be a key player in Business Development activities.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment is required. Have excellent report writing and interpersonal skills. Should have the ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies and have good communication and negotiating skills. Can work independently and as part of a team, enjoy professional challenges and wants to be an integral part of the long-term growth of JENSEN HUGHES.
